Warrior Wellness
About:
Warrior Wellness is an organization designed to support military and veterans through health, wellness, education, therapy and volunteerism. It is an initiative aimed at connecting and supporting the local military and veteran community, especially considering the lack of a nearby military base, such as MacDill Air Force Base, which is located 99 miles away. This gap highlights the importance of the program in serving veterans who may otherwise lack easy access to military-specific support services.

With over 100,000 veterans in the surrounding counties—Charlotte, Sarasota, and Lee—many of whom are not actively engaged with the VA system, this program seeks to help those who may be struggling in silence. Veterans often face unique challenges after transitioning out of the military, including difficulties with reintegration due to shared military experiences, ideologies, and behaviors that may not be easily understood by those around them. These veterans often carry their experiences quietly, which can result in mental and emotional burdens that go unaddressed.
Warrior Wellness aims to alleviate some of these challenges by focusing on the physical well being of our veterans. The goal is to get veterans out of their ahell and out of their heads. We will provide gym memberships, personal training, swim lessons or any other need that can be accomplished through a continuum of care holistic approach to health, recognizing the complexities of veterans' experiences and well-being. The program is dedicated to engage and assist military personnel at all stages of their career, helping them reconnect, heal, and thrive in their civilian lives.
